Original owner was an automotive engineer by trade and in the mid 1980’s he retired and moved to Tustin, California bringing the 308 and other cars in his collection with him. He had driven this Ferrari just over 2,200 miles by this time. The Ferrari was always in storage for the years he was in Tustin as he was a man of many projects always tinkering in his hobby garage attached to his house. (I have original bill of sale, application for title ,etc) Original owner passed away and his son inherited the car. Original owner was also a highly skilled craftsman and when the Ferrari 288 GTO was introduced in 1985 he decided to personalize his 308 to tastefully resemble the 288 styling. He replaced the center section of the seats to the 288 style pleats The car was stripped down externally of all body parts. Newly fit were European front deep dish spoiler, grill and front and rear bumpers. A major service to the engine including all hoses, valve adjustment, cam belts, water pump, , brakes etc, was performed leaving the USA smog equipment intact. The car was completely disassembled and received a stunning new corsa rossa (red) paint job, Glasurit 300 single stage. Since I have owned the car a timing belt service was done recently at Blackhorse Performance in Ft Lauderdale. The owners Stewart and Christian used to run the workshop at Shelton Ferrari until it was sold in 2008. They were amazed by the cars condition and have stated they have never seen a 308 in close to the condition of this car. I have had several 328's but this car is in a different league it is like going in a time warp back to 1977 and driving a new 308 .The miles are fully documented and the car has never had any accident damage.The interior of the car still smells new and the undercarraige is like new .
