Car is reported to have had a total restoration about eight years ago, and whether you look at the interior, undercarriage, body or engine compartment it looks to have been very lightly used since. As for authenticity, all numbers match and the body panels appear to be the original metal, so it appears to have never been rusted. The car is a type T6B with body by Reutter, and being produced in 1962 it is equipped with drum brakes and the 1600S engine. We would rate the car to be in at least "#2" condition in all respects. The paint is excellent as are the top and interior. The dashboard is especially nice with the original and period-correct radio. The luggage rack is a really cool accessory. This porsche looks great in triple black and it is a car you can drive or show with pride.

The Porsche 356 was the company's first production automobile. It was a lightweight and nimble-handling rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2-door sports car available in hardtop coupe and open configurations. Design innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. Production started in 1948 at Gmünd, Austria, where approximately 50 cars were built.
