One of only 3,618 speedsters built between 1954 and 1958 and according Porsche AFN Heritage the smallest production year was 1956 with only 949 being built. This particular example was imported from California in 1996 and was then subject to a full bare metal nut and bolt restoration. It's original colour of red was stripped back to bare metal and resprayed in original Porsche silver metallic.

The car was refitted with the slightly later and more powerful 356 C engine in the early sixties and still feels very responsive and great fun to drive!

The second UK owner purchased the car in 2001 and went to source the fantastic original hard top and also converted the hub assemblies to receive the rudge knock on wheels, these wheels were purchased from Christies in 2002 at cost of nearly £3500 and really make this speedster stand out from the crowd!
