From Seller:
OWNER HISTORY: The original owner purchased this 1971 Dodge Challenger convertible for his wife new, from Maumee Valley Dodge, Maumee, Ohio. She did not much care for it so it was hardly ever driven accounting for its remarkable “like-new” condition and very low miles. The current owner purchased it from the original owner’s estate in 2005 with only 24,630. He has kept it under wraps to preserve its original condition putting on less than 300 miles in the five years he has owned it. He recently completed a L.O.F. service and replaced the coolant. Everything is in like-new condition, and other than the old tires, it is ready to drive away!
MARQUE HISTORY: The Dodge Challenger was introduced in 1970 as Dodge’s answer to the Mustang and Camaro. Challengers featured a low profile with a full-width, scoop-like grille opening. The sides bore the familiar “Coke-bottle” profile, with raised rear fenders tapering down at the taillights. The 1971 Dodge Challenger continued to use the same body as originally introduced in 1970 with very minor trim changes, namely a slightly revised grille and slightly revised taillight treatments.
