The 111 series Mercedes-Benz automobiles are highly regarded among collectors for their combination of excellent build quality, sophisticated design, comfortable ride, great handling and luxurious appointments. The pinnacle of the series is the 3.5, powered by Mercedes-Benz's first V-8 engine, a light alloy head, overhead valve design employing the highly sophisticated Bosch fuel injection system. Sold in the US only as coupes and cabriolets, the 280SE 3.5 was a limited production, high performance, expensive luxury automobile, costing between $13,000 and $15,000 in the United States, at a time when that much money would buy two loaded Corvettes!

A lady from Beverly Hills, CA owned this Benz for almost two decades and she really pampered it.
The paint is in near flawless condition.
Chrome is equally as perfect.
Grill has a perfect fit and not a single dent in it.
A complete interior was just installed last week:
full leather front and rear seats with new padding
new armrests, headrests and sun visors
new door and kick panels and also new wind-lace and rear wall behind soft-top window
new soft-top + padding, wood bow for soft-top and also a new headliner
new matching leather boot cover
It even has the new car smell !

The complete wood was done not to long ago and shows perfectly. As you might know this is a very expensive task.

The engine compartment is super clean.
Undercarriage looks very nice and completely unmolested.
Sub-frame and inside wheel well area is perfect as well.
Very nice original trunk floor and a new rubber trunk floor mat was just ordered as well.
Michelin Radial XH small white wall tires (P195/75R14), mounted on the factory steel rims
are in near new condition.

The car shifts very smoothly through all gears, brakes are great and she handles like a new car.

She truly is a pleasure to look at and also drive.
