About This 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser

This is a 1970 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser. It has been fully restored and customized. It was a body off restore with the frame bead blasted and painted and new poly body mounts. When I purchased the vehicle the speedometer had 64000 mile on it. This could mean 164,000 or 264,000 or whatever. I have put 1,685 miles since completion of this project. All the window and door rubber has been replaced. The gas tank was removed from under the front seat and a new 21 gallon tank was installed outside above and behind the rear axle. The body has a 3' lift accomplished with a spring over in the rear and heavy duty extended shackles in the front. The rear axle has hydraulic stabilizers. This prevents spring wrap but allows the axle to drop to maintain tire contact. The rear axle has a Lockrite locker and the front axle has an Auburn limited slip unit. The front axle has Warn locking hubs. It has 4 wheel power disc brakes and Saginaw power steering. The front bumper is from JT Outfitters and is equipped with a Warn 8274 winch. The rear bumper is a swing out from Man-A-Fre and has a spare tire carrier, cooler carrier, farm jack carrier and extra gas can carrier. As an option, if a long road trip is planned, the cooler carrier will carry 4 gas cans providing a total of 46 gallons. The roof rack frame is custom with a Surco rack on top that has shovel and axe carrier. All 5 tires are Pro-Comp 33X12.50R15 Mud & Snow on 10' wide chrome wheels. The motor was a new crated 4 bolt main with large valves. It is stock except for the Edelbrock intake manifold and Edelbrock Carter Carburetor. The exhaust manifolds are stock Chevy Rams Horn style.The transmission is a Chevy Turbo 350 beefed and built by C&O transmissions. The radiator is a 4 core with Hayden fan and a BTB fan shroud. The water pump is a Man-A-Fre high volume. All fasteners that were replaced are stainless steel. The canvas top is Kayline. For creature comfort it has Vintage Air Conditioning that also incorporates the heater and window defrosters. The radio is a Pioneer with AM, FM, XM and CD. There is no hard top. Included is are matching canvas doors with all hardware, a Bimini Top, and car cover.
