1969 Saab Sonett 2 V4 - Sold at $3,651

This Saab Sonett 2 V4 could very well be one of the best unrestored original examples available for restoration. This is the 1387 Sonett 2 V4 to be built and is the 1969 version. All fiberglass is original and in very good condition. There is a some slight imperfections on the front hood [scratch] and one headlight which would be easily repaired prior to painting. All glass including the rear is in very good condition and original. The chassis sheet metal is as solid as you will find anywhere for an unrestored example. The floor pan is absolutely perfect as is the front engine compartment sheet metal and the trunk floor is flawless including the battery area [slight surface rust only]. All suspension points are extremely solid with no rust. The interior is as original from the factory complete with headliner. Door panels are original [drivers side will need new back panel]. Instrument panel is completely factory original with all gauges and switches. Seats are factory original. This Saab Sonett 2 V4 is exactly as it came out of the factory in 1969. A true time capsule. Engine is completely original and turns over nicely. This engine was last started several years ago by the previous owner. I have owned this Sonett for over 2 years and do not have the time to complete the restoration. This engine will not take much effort to get into running condition. The transmission is original and free wheel is intact. You simply will not find a better unrestored original example of a Saab Sonett 2 V4 anywhere.
