1909 Ford Model T Touring - Sold at $24,900

This is a very nice recreation of an early 1909 Model-T Ford tourer; its motor number dates the engine to 1919 although the car is titled as a 1909. It has a new body as many of the brass cars do of this era. Its restoration, completed many years ago, is beginning to show its age, but the overall appearance is quite nice. The body is straight and doors close well, but there is evidence of flaws and imperfections throughout the paint. The paint shows a good gloss considering its age. The varnish on the wood dashboard shows well as does the old style non-skid tires.

The black vinyl seats look good. The top fabric is in good condition and shows well also. The motor runs good and goes down the road with ease. The chassis is clean and painted in gloss black.

The brass has become somewhat tarnished, but should polish well. The car is fitted with brass headlights along with Ford script kerosene side lamps and tail lamp. Also shown is a Heinze coil box, nice brass windshield, brass hubcaps, brass valve stems and brass mirror. A lot of work went into the detail and restoration of this car.

Built to be driven, this fine example of one of Fords most popular cars can be driven to shows, be a perfect parade vehicle or just enjoyed on a nice Sunday afternoon. A Model-T in this condition is a truly rare find, for the collector of these American iconic automobiles, this is a unique opportunity.
