A well loved and daily driven example of an early 1980’s automotive icon. If you want a show winning car, look elsewhere. If you want a mechanically perfect well looked Mark 1 (or A1) GTI that is in incredibly good shape for its age, read on. This has been a California and even SF bay area car its entire life. No rust. No accidents, ever! I have every record of all maintenance done on this car from when it was brand new, including the window sticker, right through to its present 237,000 miles. About 30K miles ago a motor swap to a 2.0L bottom end and ported, milled head was done. A/C was deleted at the same time. All parts ever replaced were better than stock or stock. Many upgrades and modifications throughout the years, yet nothing ever done to sacrifice longevity. Everything works in this highly reliable car. May not be the fastest, but it corners like stink. Great autocross car.
