1933 Morgan JAP/SuperSports, #865, Beetleback body design
Perhaps the finest every nut and bolt restoration ever done on a Morgan 3 Wheeler-I had the restoration done on this with the hope to show it at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance but one of my other Morgans was chosen instead, The entire trike was disassembled down to the nubbins and I was insistant that it be the finest one both mechanically and cosmetically when completed as I am with all of my own personal Morgans. The trike was mostly restored by Morgan 3 wheeler guru Ron Garner with our own restoration shop, MorganWestorations, completing the upholstery, top and various detail items. Details of the restoration can be seen on: www.madaboutmorgans.com/image/tid/1 The engine was assembled using Cameron componets, the strongest, best JAP parts anywhere in the world. The wood tub was totally replaced, all wood being stained an opaque red, the paint was done in Ferrari Pozzi Navy Blue; the interior done in Muirhead Scottish Lipstick Red leather; Stayfast German cloth in Navy blue with red piping; the wheels were rebuilt, painted Pozzi Blue with polished stainless steel spokes. The restoration took about a year and a half and the trike runs perfectly, looks even better. All the original MOT books come with the vehicle, from new.
