M-114 Armor Command & Recon Vehicle (ACRV) 3710 M-114's were built from 1962-1965 at the Cadillac Plant in Cleveland, Ohio. They use a Chevy 283 V-8 engine and Allison automatic transmission. The hull is aluminum. With its light weight and modest size, it is possibly the easiest tracked military vehicle to own and maintain. Several police departments use them for SWAT duties and videos of these can be seen on You Tube by searching M-114.
