This full-fendered Cord Boattail Speedster was professionally built by the Tyree brothers of Tyree's Classic Auto Restoration Shop in Turlock, CA. In this project, authenticity was valued above all else. This was done with no-expense spared, using all authentic Cord parts built to exact specifications of the original car. Every part, every fixture was an exact match and duplicates the original in every aspect. The flathead Lycoming straight eight engine was lavishly detailed and painted Duesenberg Green. The dashboard was fitted with an altimeter and chronometer from Duesenberg stock. Even a working convertible top was meticulously constructed, then carefully fitted to fully disappear into a compartment behind the seats. Beautifully presented in concours condition, this car won "Best of Class" at the 2007 Ironstone Concours de Elegance.

From WikipediaThe spinal cord is a long, thin, tubular bundle of nervous tissue and support cells that extends from the brain. The brain and spinal cord together make up the central nervous system (CNS). The spinal cord begins at the occipital bone and extends down to the space between the first and second lumbar vertebrae; it does not extend the entire length of the vertebral column. It is around 45 cm (18 in) in men and around 43 cm (17 in) long in women. |
