This car is 1 of 6 that was rebodied in 1948 reportedly by Maserati. Post War Italy found many of the auto plants in ruins, and in an effort to turn a buck many of the Carrozerie were forced to rebody older chassis since new chassis were few and far between. The stunning little car features cycle fenders, an imbedded rear spare, artillery wheels, extensive louverwork, turned metal firewall and dash, and full leather interior. The workmanship and artistry of the nickel era is clearly evident under the hood of this little gem. Probably the only example stateside, this car has been used sparingly by its current owner of almost 30 years, who acquired the car in its current condition, and has carefully preserved the car. The car does run and drive well, and is just the thing if you like to be the only one on the show field with what you brought. A spritely performer, the car would do well on tours as well.
