Restoration completed this month by professional MG restorer. Prior owner began dismantling this vehicle about 1968; after 38 years, he and his wife realized that they would never complete the project. We purchased the car in November 2006 and completed the restoration in early March 2008. A few of the photos below show the car without floorboards and with no interior as it was when we acquired it. Our business for over 30 years has been restoration of MG roadsters including MG-T series, MGA, MGB and MGC models. The prior owner did an excellant job dismantling, cleaning and painting all panels off the car. Over the years, he moved the project to at least 3 new homes in different southwestern states. While in storage and during the moves, small dings and scratches occurred; so, we had the exterior completely repainted in the summer of 2007 prior to final assembly of all body panels. All upholstery items: top, panels, carpet, dash covers, door seals, side curtains & side curtain pocket, spare tire cover, leather cockpit covers and leather seat covers and foams were purchased in 2007 from Moss Motors. The whitewall tires were provided from new stock from Coker Tire. The original 1622 engine and 4-speed transmission was rebuilt by the previous owners mechanic. This car drives as well as any MGA we owned or worked on since 1975 due to its documented extremely low original miles. This vehicle and all its parts have been stored indoors for the past 40 years. There is no rust damage or corrosion issues anywhere on the car -- it is as solid as when it left the factory. All chrome and rubber trim and seals are in new condition. A complete cloth-bound wire harness (purchased from Moss Motors) was installed in late 2007. Floorboards are new reproduction pieces with new hardware. We believe the only non-original style items that we installed are modern hose clamps, distributor cap & wires, 2 new 6-volt batteries and Amco Rubber Floor Mats -- also, steel portions of the Air Cleaners are chrome plated.

Or a 1962-1980 MG. Any of them will make me happy.
