Green 1938 Cadillac Series 75

60” Stretch

This vehicle was modified and built in the year 2000. All modifications were made for safety and dependability; considering that this was being built for commercial use.

The front frame, including all suspension, braking, steering, etc., was replaced with a 1972 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. This modification gave the vehicle much improved handling, braking, and steering.

The motor, transmission, and rear end from the same 1972 Cadillac were fitted to this vehicle at that time. All these units were rebuilt before installation.

The 60-inch stretch was done with two double “X” member 1938 Cadillac frames. These frames also consisted of side ladder rails which were overlapped and welded together to fit the body. This modification was done with strength and safety in mind. All frame

mods were done with laser measurements, before being professionally MIG (gas metal arc welding) welded.

The body structure was built with 2 x 4 box quarter inch steel. All wood was replaced with the box steel. The side panels were made from 20 gauge steel and were welded into place and urethane was used to adhere the side panels to the inner frame work. This limousine is SO strong that when you lift the vehicle in the middle it does not flex at all. This vehicle is stronger than any original ever could be.

Other modifications included for safety and convenience are as follows:

Electric 2-speed wipers

Electric windows and door locks

Hazard flashers

Seat belts, etc.
