About This 1937 Packard

Posted: 24 Jul 2007

This armored Limousine has windows over 3 inches thick, able to withstand 50 caliber machine gun blast ( not tested as far as far as we know). The weight of the car is over 6,000 lbs. The most notorious man who ever lived, Josef Stalin, rode in this this limousine from 1937-1938. The limousine was brought to the United States from Belgium in 1997. Hitlers car sold for $6,000,000.00 so Stalin's should be worth more! What a piece of History! The car runs and is in original condition.

Engine: 473 cubic inch V12

Wheelbase: 144 inches

Weight:15,000 lbs.- originally weighing in at 6200 lbs, the armored body increased the car's weight by over four tons.

Special equipment:custom, armor plated body; bulletproof glass; oversized 17' wheels and tires (necessary to support the additional weight) Some wear and tear is evident.
