This fine example is a 1990 Ferrari F40 with just a hair over 2000 miles. It's had only 2 previous owners, one being Paul Allen himself. It's had it's belt service not long ago at a Ferrari dealership, had all the suspension recalls done, has no questionable history at all and is ready for someone's collection.
It includes all the original tools and car cover as well.
With 471 hp from its 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, the lightweight exotic is blindingly fast. It may not be as fast as todays modern superexotics, yet it is a whole lot more of a satisfying and exhilarating vehicle to drive. When the turbos come in, the vehicle becomes extremely violent in it's behavior, it's a car that you have to master. There are no electronic systems in place.
About 1300 F40s were made from 1987 to 1992. Since then, Ferrari has produced the even more exotic F50 and the Enzo. But for all those cars' abilities, they lack the soul of the F40 and the drop-dead gorgeous styling that distinguishes it as one of Pininfarina's high points.
