I am the original owner of this motorcycle, so I can guarantee that it has never been laid down, or received any sort of damage/abuse. All maintenance and service has been performed regularly. It is a 2005 Yamaha YZF-R1. Originally red in color, most of the body panels have been replaced with the highest quality carbon fiber available. There is a slight weight reduction from the stock body. (I say slight, only because the stock plastics are very light to begin with.) But besides the obvious benefit of looking extremely trick (and also original!), the carbon fiber is much stronger than the stock body panels. Quality carbon fiber; like this; does not crack or spider web when under stress, and is much more resistant from being scratched or broken if some unfortunate person was to lay this piece of art down.

I purchased the bike brand new in the spring of 2005 in upstate New York (from Cycle Enterprises in Bloomfield if you are familiar with the area). From the factory it was truly an amazing motorcycle! The 1000cc motor and sport tuned suspension is almost imposible to describe. For the first year, that was enough. I kept the bike stock and I loved it. The following year (last summer) I decided that this bike needed to stand out from the rest. Piece by piece, I upgraded the performance and the looks until I got what you see here.

Here is a list of the upgrades this bike has received:

Carbon Fiber
Upper Fairing with stock headlight and stock windscreen cutouts
Lower Fairing
Air Filter Cover (front half of gas tank)
Gas Tank Side Panels
Front Fender
Rear Fender with Chain Guard (one piece)
Engine Cover, Clutch Cover, and Crank Shaft Cover
Racing Mirrors
Greggs Customs’ Flush Mount Front Markers (black with amber LED)
Red Anodized Bolt Kit
Red-Chrome Windscreen
Red and Black Vinyl Seat Covers (looks like carbon fiber weave)
Hotbodies Undertail Kit with Exhaust and Signals
Custom Fender Eliminator Kit (powder coated black)
Scotts Steering Damper
B&M Air Filter
520 Chain and Sprocket Conversion (-1 tooth on black rear sprocket and gold chain)
6 Pc. Delrin Frame Slider Kit (2- swing arm spools, 2- frame sliders, 2- handle bar ends)
¼ Turn Quick Release Gas Cap (black)
Thermal Protective Wrap for Headers
The bike now has about 2500 miles on it. There are no major mechanical or visual defects on the bike. There is your basic wear and tear, but nothing out of the ordinary. It would make an amazing weekend warior for anyone who appreciates a 1000cc superbike. However, it also has alot of potential if someone was to show the bike.
