1952 Hudson Hornet 7B sedan, condition #2
68,900 original miles
Original, matching number, 308 Power Dome, 6-cylinder engine
Optional Twin-H carburetors
Originally from New Mexico, has been in the Northeast for about 10 or 11 years.
I have paperwork, registration, manuals and some photos from original owner, to be included with purchase
I am 5th owner of the car. 2nd-4th owners all Hudson Club members
Car was painted about 10 years ago with the original color, Gulf Green. Top was originally dark green, now a custom color, light green.
Original upholstery, and carpets; has NOS Hudson seat covers on front and rear seats
Original chrome & stainless except for re-plated chrome & gold hood ornament, all in good to very good condition
Recent work:
Points, condenser, rotor, cap, wires, plugs
New voltage regulator
All new radiator and heater hoses, and clamps
Oil & filter change before storage last fall
Five new Diamond Back WW radials - within the last 300 miles
All five wheels stripped and re-painted in Gulf Green
Rocker panels stripped and re-painted in correct silver color
All garnish mouldings professionally restored with correct leather grain pattern
Dash board (top, near instrument cluster) touched-up as needed with correct graining pattern
New exhaust system, manifold to tail pipe (last summer)
New Wildrick clutch, resurfaced flywheel and throw-out bearing (just after I bought the car)
Radiator re-cored (previous owner)
Front end completely rebuilt (previous owner)
Cleaned and sealed gas tank (previous owner)
Carburetors restored by Daytona Parts Co. (within the last 200 miles)
New K-Gap door rubber weather strips
Optima 6 volt battery hidden in original type battery box
Air cleaners restored and re-painted. K&N filter elements installed.
New vent window regulator gears
Notes:
The original radio & clock are not working
The original wiring harness in typical older condition and has been repaired as needed.
There's 3" burn mark on rear floor carpet at drive shaft tunnel - the muffler shop did this when removing the old exhaust system :-(
Car has not been driven since last summer - and would not start the other day when I took these photos. Probably just need to drain carburetors and put in fresh gas, but it's still too cold here to work on it.
