You are looking at the car that started it all for the DeLorean Motor Company, the DMC -12 Prototype. The car that graced the cover of every auto magazine in 1977. This was the first working prototype with the stainless frame, mid engine, airbags and tire pressure monitoring decades before they would be in todays cars. I am Tony Ierardi the owner of DeLorean Motor Company Florida. As most of you know I bought this car in January of 2005 and spent over a year restoring this car to it's original condition. Hagerty Collector car insurance has placed an agreed value on the Prototype at $500,000. They have stated that they will insure it for more if and when the car sells for more. This car will bring over a Million dollars one day.

The DeLorean DMC-12 is a sports car originally manufactured in Dunmurry, a suburb of south west Belfast, Northern Ireland by John DeLorean's DeLorean Motor Company for the American market in 1981-82. Most commonly known as the DeLorean, it was the only model produced by the company which would go into liquidation as the US car market went through its largest slump since the 1930s.
