Sold New at Century BMW in June 2000 to a successful, DotCom entrepreneur who had a massive stable of exotics, this M covered just 3100 miles in its first 4 years until the second and current California owner bought it in April 2004 and began to use it regularly while embarking on over $36k of Dinan and OE upgrades. All work, along with the maintenance has been carried by Dinan Authorized, Avus Autosport in Glendale, CA. The car has been garaged and driven by mature adult owners in Southern CA. Never damaged, raced or abused it is in excellent condition throughout.
Full Dinan S2 package; this car has the ultimate in naturally aspirated M5 performance, with 481 Hp @ 7000 rpm, with 419 lb/ft torque.

This car has never been run hard or hot and presents a “fresh” look and feel everywhere; note the white color on the plastic coolant overflow tank in the under hood photo as evidence of it’s pristine state……the vast majority of these cars will show yellow plastic due to heat and age. The brakes rotors and tires, Bridgestone SO-3’s (2/3-3/4 tread, uniform) show similar light use and the bottom has never been scraped or high centered at all.
Maintenance History: (all documented):
Oil changes at 3100, 6900, 12500, 16500 and just recently at 19.5k miles. Always with the BMW spec 10W-60 Synthetic with a filter.
A major service with all filters (air, pollen, and fuel), all fluids (Trans, diff, coolant, brake flush etc.) at 11,300 miles in 2/05. The Plugs were changed just recently at 16,500 miles, and All work by Avus Autosport, the Dinan Auth. Tech. in Glendale.
It recently had the Vanos (cam controls) sensors upgraded/replaced as is a common need.
Body and Paint Condition:
No collision damage ever. Always garaged and carefully maintained, the paint is very fresh and bright and this is not the result of extensive polishing….it’s just a nice car, well kept. No chips or scuffs on any of the door edges or threshols at all. None of the trim or rubber shows even the slightest sun damage, this is not a Sun Soaked car.
The body is without a single ding or dent whatsoever. There are a few minor rock chips and scuffs on the chin as exactly should be expected at 20k miles, but it would be very hard to find a nicer example anywhere. All Glass and trim is essentially new.
This car has the Extended Leather option with stitched leather on the dash, console, seat backs and door panels. It is in very nice condition having been garaged and otherwise protected by window tint - agian, not sun-soaked at all. There is none of the typical shrinkage on the dash or seats, the seat bolsters show no wear at all, and there are none of the typical fingernail scratches that so often mar the door pull areas. The photos speak for themselves and I can provide more as needed. It has never been smoked it, has the original M5 mats and these, along with all of the carpets a suede headliner are excellent. The rear cupholder is however malfunctioning and I will try to address that before it sells. It has the fold down rear seat which may be standard equipment, and it has the rare brushed aluminum trim instead of the ol’guy wood (I’m an old guy so I can say so myself). Everything but that cupholder works exactly as it should and is complete as new. The air is cold.
Accessories and Documentation:
All of the books (two binders, base BMW and M5), all tools, keys and OE Car cover are with the car just as it was delivered new. This is a Dinan serialized S2 and all of nearly $50k in receipts covering the Dinan upgrades and maintenance described herein are included. Clean CARFAX reflecting all statements here, available.
