Of the 10,000 or so TC’s, this was among the last 35 produced in the final week of production in November of 1949. The car was purchased in 1979 as a basket case with many missing bits. 10 years spent collecting genuine parts from all over the world to make this as correct a restoration as possible. The car has been driven it approx 3,000 miles since the total frame-up restoration was completed in 1991. The strong engine and excellent transmission were both rebuilt by well-known T-series mechanics. It is very reliable and runs and drives as it should. This car has garnered numerous trophies including 2nd place TC at GOF ’ in 1991 and 1st place TC at GOF ’ in 1994. This is an older restoration, so you will find that there are a few small bubbles in the paint, a few small scratches and stress cracks as well. Chrome is in excellent condition. Tires â€" 450 X 19 Dunlops. All lights in working order. The good news is that the rear main seal does not leak……the bad news is that the front does leak just enough to be an annoyance. Also, the small cover to the sending unit has a very slight pesky leak. Full set of side curtains and tonneau cover included in matching tan canvas.
