Few cars have enjoyed the popularity of the MG two seat roadster. Few have had such a strong influence on sports car ownership in America, or on amateur racing. More than any other single make, MG was responsible for introducing the joys of traditional sports cars to Americans. Introduced in 1956, the MGA was a big step forward from it's predecessor, the TF. Some traditionalists were not pleased by the change, but MG's roadster was indeed totally restyled, with a modern, rounded look to replace the traditional upright, squarish profile. With the exception of the front suspension and the emblem, everything else was all new: body, chassis, gearbox, brakes, and differential. The car on offer has benefited from a full, ground up restoration that was done to show standards. The car was done a few years back and is just starting to show some signs of use, however it is a car that you could still show proudly. The car is beautifully finished in blue, and the paintwork is done to a very high standard. The body is straight as an arrow, the chrome is very nice indeed, and the car is complete with chrome wire wheels. The interior is gorgeous with like new correct tan leather upholstery on the seats, new door panels, and new carpet as well. The dashboard has also been completely refinished, as well as the gauges. The car also has a like new proper black top, and the trunk is nicely detailed and contains a full set of tools. The engine compartment is gorgeous, carefully detailed, and very correct. The car runs and drives superbly. This is a very nice MG that is ready to drive, and a good investment as well!
