BEAUTIFUL Midnight Blue 1938 Packard Convertible Sedan in EXCEPTIONALLY EXCELLENT COLLECTORS condition. Also known as 1605 4 door convertible touring sedan. Some refer to it as a limo, a "Phantom," or "Phaeton," but this is not technical name in books. Super 8 still runs strong, and there appears to be no leakage. Horn, top, windows (including separator between front and back seats, which was an additional option for "wealthy people with chauffers"), and lights function properly. Interior is immaculate and exterior looks brand new, aside from one minor paint bubble the size of a nickel by front grill. Chrome appears to have no pits, and there are no signs of any rust. Doors fit properly and engine runs great. Since purchased in 1989, this vehicle has only been outdoors and run few times. This vehicle has been sitting on our showroom floor for several years, but we have had our service department inspect this vehicle and drive it up to 35 miles per hour for about 3 miles. Around 1991, Hibernia Auto Restorations of New Jersey did a full restoration. In 1992, this vehicle won a "National First Prize" in its class at an AACA National Meet in Hershey, PN. Three years ago, the Auto Apraisal Group of VA gave this car an overall rating of Superior: show quality, trailered, award winner, garage kept. This beautiful automobile would definitely be a prize for any serious collector.
