The MGTC (Trials Car) was a post-war production car that was available for a four years from 1946-1949. MG actively sought sales around the world and succeeded in generating a substantial demand for this desirable car. A large percentage of the MGTC's were shipped to the USA where they generated new enthusiasm for sports cars and motor sport. It is quite remarkable how a car which was basically a "stop-gap," generated sales figures far beyond those experienced before the war. This 1947 MGTC was professionally rotisserie restored to the exacting factory standards in England. A total of 2,359 MGTC's were sold world-wide in 1947 with less than 400 examples still in existence. This right-hand drive MGTC is known as the finest example and has the ultra rare Moss Magnacharger equipped engine. As a testament to its quality and appeal, this MGTC has won the following awards: 2001 Historical Vintage Car Club Delaware - 1st State Senior Award, 2001 Antique Automobile Club of America-National 1st Prize. This superb MGTC is finished in the most desirable color combination, British Racing Green over Tan leather and would make a remarkable addition for any collection.
