This kit was based on the modifications found on the racing cars which ran the 1953 Le Mans 24 hour race- hence the name. The ‘Le Mans' kit consists of a pair of 1 ¾" SU carburetors with special manifolds and four stud fixing, a joint carburetor cold air box with a brass ‘Le Mans' badge, stronger valve springs, high-lift camshaft, steel face cylinder head gasket, distributor with a special advance curve and NA 10 plugs. Power was improved to 100 Bhp at 4500 rpm. The stone guards on the headlights were also in the 'M' package. The bonnet has two rows of louvers and special leather strap. Upgraded brakes and this one has the ventilated brake drums!! The steering wheel is in a very nice and rare ivory specification. The M models were mostly in two tone color schemes. This car has a perfect original grille with the very special badge with the added ‘M'. We are selling this car from an entire personal collection up for sale. We personally know this 100M to be in this collection since the early nineties. It has frequently been started and driven shortly, but not in the past two years. It might be necessary to adjust the brakes and do a minor tune up. We will install a new battery and have it running perfectly but do not advise to drive a longer distance before cleaning and adjusting the brakes. The body has never had any rust or accident repairs and is totally straight. Very good quality paint from years ago, still in great and shiny condition, no cracks or dents. Chrome all in near perfect condition. The interior is very clean and original. The tonneau cover and door side screens are included with the car. When it was purchased into the collection brand new Dunlop chrome wire wheels and tires were fitted. Of course the gearbox is equiped with the A-type competition overdrive electronically operated.
