Gorgeous LeMans Blue finish that fits this beauty so well. Soft Gray Leather interior w/5 point belts. The Coachwork is in outstanding condition. This is 1 of only 286 ever to be produced in 1993 & is still almost a brand new show car. The original cost was well over $600,000. in 1993. It's a wonderful driving XJ-220 w/a powerful Twin Turbo'd V-6 putting 542HP to the tarmac & has a low "4100 ACTUAL KILOMETERS" (2500 miles) since new in 1993. She starts perfectly like a new Jag should & runs extremely cool. Imagine 0-60 MPH in 3.6 seconds & top speed of 212 MPH... Actual mileage as of 06/10/05... This Bad Boy was completly hand made by TWR in England w/Jag's blessing. The Jaguar Inaugural Fast Masters Racing series was for some 50 professional drivers all over the age of 50. They had a series of races at the Indianapolis Speedway to accommodate these cool XJ-220's. All 50 or so drivers had to do a series of road & oval courses. Along with Brian Redman,David Pearson,Bobby Allison,Gary Bettenhousen David Hobbs,Johnny Rutherford,etc...was good 'ol BOBBY UNSER ! At the age of 59 years old,Bobby Unser, out of retirement, proceeded to dominate the field. In the end w/1 last big push was David Hobbs making a dash for the finish line & not able to catch Bobby Unser. All you Ferrari & Lamborghini owners take notice! This will blow the doors off your current Exotics! You won't find another one of these in your neighborhood! The overall condition of this "WILD" machine is "Exceptional". The Paint & Body work are absolute #2 Condition w/only a few dings from the race touched up. This XJ-220 can be used for any Sports Car Club event w/open arms. You are also eligible for a "Show & Display" permit if you choose. These are accepted on the EPA's list for legalization in the USA.

From WikipediaThe Jaguar XJ220 is a mid-engined supercar produced by Jaguar in collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing as Jaguar Sport between 1992 and 1994. It held the record for the highest top speed of a production car (350 km/h, 217 mph) (although it was modified from standard to achieve this), until the arrival of the McLaren F1 in 1994. The XJ220 is unrelated to other XJ models, despite sharing the "XJ" prefix. |
