With only 455 (56 of them race track cars) BMW M1's manufactured by BMW Motorsport, the M1 is one of those hard to find BMW's that have a very short history.

If you're looking at this car, then you already know what it's all about. I'm not quite sure how many M1's still exist in the US, but I've been told it's only in the teens, if that.

Exterior:

The overall condition of this vehicle is excellent, no rust spots, bubbling in the paint or body damage anywhere. Take a look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean.

Interior:

The same can be said about the interior, completely clean, functional and a surprisingly comfortable seat that gives you great support.

Engine and Transmission:

The engine runs like a dream and the transmission shifts great with absolutely no grinding in any gear. For a car built in 1980, I was extremely surprised as to how peppy and agile the vehicle drove.

The BMW M1 (E26) is a sports car that was produced by German automaker BMW from 1978 to 1981. In the late 1970s, Italian manufacturer Lamborghini entered into an agreement with BMW to build a production racing car in sufficient quantity for homologation. The result was sold to the public, from 1978 to 1981, as the BMW M1. It was the only mid-engined BMW to be mass produced. It employed a twin-cam M88/1 3.5 L 6-cylinder petrol engine with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection.
