I'm not quite sure how many M1's still exist in the US, but I've been told it's only in the teens, if that. Exterior: The overall condition of this vehicle is excellent, no rust spots, bubbling in the paint or body damage anywhere. Take a look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean. Interior: The same can be said about the interior, completely clean, functional and a surprisingly comfortable seat that gives you great support. Engine and Transmission: The engine runs like a dream and the transmission shifts great with absolutely no grinding in any gear. For a car built in 1980, I was extremely surprised as to how peppy and agile the vehicle drove.

From WikipediaThe BMW M1 (E26) is a sports car that was produced by German automaker BMW from 1978 to 1981. In the late 1970s, Italian manufacturer Lamborghini entered into an agreement with BMW to build a production racing car in sufficient quantity for homologation. The result was sold to the public, from 1978 to 1981, as the BMW M1. It was the only mid-engined BMW to be mass produced. It employed a twin-cam M88/1 3.5 L 6-cylinder petrol engine with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. |
