Hand built from the ground up, it is loaded with special parts, many of them hand made for this car only. It has a 52 Ford flathead powerplant that is relieved, done up with a 3/4 cam, cut heads that are port matched, tulip valves and a lightened flywheel. The headers are custom, there is a Lincoln high volume oil pump, and a very trick mod to a Chevy 283 distributor. A unique Holley carburetor pokes out of the hood, and is fitted with an air horn. A Brass Works four core radiator cools the Flattie, and it has an electric fan that is thermostatically controlled. The radiator cap is another great original looking feature, and the cooling system is pressurized. The transmission is a rebuilt 39, and the 378 geared rear is from a 40. The juice brakes are 1940 also, and they are fed by braided stainless lines. There are twin saddle tanks to hold 14 gallons of fuel inside the custom frame and channeled body. The interior is sweet and simple, with comfortable leather buckets out of a 300ZX, a slick mahogany wheel, and matching trim. The headliner and the rest of the interior is done in naugahyde, and the load of instruments let you know what is going on. Also up front is a 4 inch dropped axle and a relocated perch. The obvious third headlight in the center of the grill, actually turns with the steering, and is really different. The wheels are sixteen inch, with new custom made radials. That change improved the ride and handling greatly, making the T a very drivable rod. Of course the electrical system is twelve volt, and everything on this Ford works. The trunk is fairly good sized and usable, which is well thought out, and something you seldom see. The glass is tinted, the windows roll up and down nicely, and the tilt out windshield and cowl vent are functional. Incidentally, I'm over six feet tall, and I had miles of room to move in this coupe.

From WikipediaThe Ford Model T (colloquially known as the Tin Lizzie, T‑Model Ford, or T) is an automobile that was produced by Henry Ford's Ford Motor Company from September 1908 to October 1927. It is generally regarded as the first affordable automobile, the car that opened travel to the common middle-class American; some of this was because of Ford's innovations, including assembly line production instead of individual hand crafting. |
