Up for auction is a fully restored classic 1959 Mk1 Morris Mini, car trailer, tons of parts and a collection of Mini regalia all at once. It's everything you need and want rolled into one deal! Let's start with the car. The car is a completely rebuilt 1959 Morris Mini. Restoration was done in late 2003 and early 2004. The car came from southern Arizona. It had been sitting for many years and was in need of total restoration. The good news was that it was a rust free body! (A very valuable find) The car was completely disassembled and plastic media blasted to bare metal. One body panel was replaced, the front nose panel, as it had been bumped at some point in it's life. The car was painted while disassembled to assure coverage. Colors are Brooklands green and white with red accents and interior. There is a red cross (cross of St. George) on the roof. All metal pieces and parts were bead blasted to bare metal and repainted before reassembly. Although the car is restored, it is not restored to original specs. It was built to DRIVE! All major components were rebuilt or replaced with new including all rubber seals and gaskets. The following list will provide some insight as to the extent of restoration: Engine and transmission; 1293cc high performance engine and rebuilt transmission supplied as a unit from Seven Enterprises in April 2004. Unit now has 1500 miles on it. Specs are: 1293 cc A+ block AE 21253 Cooper S pistons Kent MD276 camshaft Longman GT7 cylinder head (11 stud) Std/Std crank ARP rod bolts and head bolts Balanced New oil pump, waterpump, timing chain, lifters, etc. Rebuilt rod change box with 3.44 final drive Verto clutch with lightened flywheel. Additional engine related items are: HIF44 1.75" SU carb with stub stack and K&N cone filter. Mini Fin rocker cover. Ultimate engine steady. Lucas electronic distributor. Maniflow LCB header with Maniflow big bore single box exhaust. Output of the engine is in the 90 horsepower range. It goes. Power comes on at 2800 rpm. It is the ideal setup for a street Mini. Great torque and power without being too cammy. A quick word about horsepower. If you're considering a Mini with a claimed horsepower of 100 or more, ask to see results of a dyno run for verification. Squeezing more than 100 horses out of a Mini motor is difficult and very expensive. Plus, really high horsepower Mini's are difficult to drive on the street. Claims in that caliber should be considered questionable without serious documentation. Just my 2 cents. OK, now comes the laundry list of everything else: Super 2 core radiator with expansion tank. Tropical fan. New Kevlar radiator hoses. Factory Service Manual (1966 edition). Rebuilt starter and alternator. New 4.5 x 10 minilife wheels with new 165/70-10 Yokohama A008 tires. Spare is original wheel with new tire. New bumpers. Adjust-a-ride suspension trumpets. Adjustable tie rods. Adjustable rear suspension brackets. All new suspension bushings. Front and rear subframes sandblasted and repainted. New Cobra Classic low back seats. New red carpet set and new red interior panel kit. 4 point roll bar (white). Later style 3 pod instrument binnacle. New Auto Meter Tachometer. New Bosch coil. New air/fuel ratio gauge (O2 sensor). Wood and Alloy Moto-Lita steering wheel. New Crow 2" red racing style seat belts. New Cooper S 7.5" disc brakes with 4 pot calipers, all new brake lines and steel braided brake hoses. New wheel bearings at all 4 corners. New Clutch and Brake master cylinders. New complete wiring harness. Oversized 9.5 gallon fuel tank from a later model Mini. Aston style flip fuel cap. New choke, heater, accelerator cables. New chrome rocker / wheel arch strips. Custom Brit license plate. New fuel pump. Battery disconnect switch. Lowered steering column. These are the items I could think of. I'm sure there's more. As stated above, EVERY rubber item and ALL gaskets were replaced with new! I built the car as right hand drive. However, I have all the pieces to convert back to left hand drive if you wish. Additional parts that go with the car: Just in case the 1293 isn't enough, a 1340cc motor and tranny is also included! Call me for details on this. Extra front subframe. Extra set (4) front windows.
