In 1951, the Museum of Modern Art selected the Continental as 1 of 8 automotive works of art. 8 years later, Time magazine ranked these gorgeous cars in its top ten of 100 best designed automobiles. Model year production for the 1948 Lincoln was a mere 847 making this vehicle highly desirable and extremely rare. This 1948 Lincoln Continental is truly, a preserved classic. This vehicle is amazing for it being all original. The paint appears to be in excellent condition by the pictures taken. The body is solid but the paint is old and believed to be original. Due to age various cracks can be found (mostly driver side fender) and small area's of touch up paint. Keep in mind we believe this to be original paint and this can't be seen in pictures, I would like to extend my service to photograph any of these area's through e-mail upon request. The interior is in good original condition the seat upholstery and headliner are fine although the carpet has suffered ware to passenger side. The dash is in good condition as well as the interior trim. The chrome is in original condition with few areas of pitting but in overall, a good appearance. The motor is a mechanically sound Lincoln V-12 original to the car. This motor is very dependable; we have driven this vehicle several times without an issue. We have drained and replaced all necessary fluids and spark plugs. Many clubs and organizations across America devote their time, money, and effort into the preservation and restoration of these beautiful cars. A fully restored Lincoln Continental of this ERA can be found for $40,000 to $50,000 this is a rare opportunity to purchase an original 1948 Lincoln Continental at below market value.
