This rust free 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 has 88,030 documented original miles. Options include a factory tachometer, factory AM radio, padded dash and power brakes. Research on this SS has indicated this is a real 409 car. However, there is no documentation to verify that as fact. There are less than 3,000 miles on a complete body-off restoration that was performed in 1993 and 1994. The non-numbers matching QG coded 409 CID, 340 horsepower engine was professionally rebuilt during the restoration and runs very strong. This 409 is backed by a 2-speed powerglide transmission and a BM coded posi-traction 3.36:1 rear differential. Under the hood is very well detailed and ready to show. The body was lifted off the frame and then stripped to bare metal and repainted its factory original color, Ermine White. The frame was media blasted, and then painted chassis black before all new body bushings, suspension and steering components where installed. The trunk pan, floors, body mounts and rear quarters are 100% original metal with no rust or patch panels. The windshield is new and in perfect condition. The chrome and stainless trim are original to this car and un-restored. The bumpers are straight but have some hazing. The stainless trim has a few dings but over-all looks great. On the inside the black upholstery is excellent as is the dash pad, door panels, carpet and headliner. All of the weather stripping including the window felts are in good condition and where replaced during the 1993 -94 restoration. The trunk is nicely detailed and includes the original spare, jack and a new trunk mat set. There are new Goodyear, Custom Super Cushion, 8.00-14 bias-ply, white wall tires at each corner. The car sits great with new rear coil springs and all new shocks. This is a very nice Impala SS 409 that is ready to show and it runs and drives great.
