About This 1973 Pontiac Trans Am1973 Trans Am that has the numbers matching drivetrain and is fully documented with original window sticker, factory invoice, owner's manual & PHS documentation. Car has 89,560 actual miles as stated on the odometer and the title! Also have all receipts on this restoration including engine rebuild, trans. rebuild, paint, parts etc. etc. Car was completely frame on restored. I found this car in dry storage and it had been in storage for 14 years before I bought it and started the restoration. Motor was rebuilt to 455 Super Duty Specs. including High Volume Oil Pump, SD Forged Pistons, Double Roller Timing Chain & Gears, Chrome Moly Rings, Rods & Rod Bolts, SD Camshaft, and completely tuned with new plugs, plug wires, etc. 400 Turbo Transmission was rebuilt. Motor, transmission and rear-end have no oil leaks. Car has HEI ignition & New Edelbrock Performance 800 cfm carb. I have the original carb. (#7043265) and a new rebuild kit that will come with the sale of car. Car was painted the original Bucaneer Red with New Decals including hood bird, New Door Handles, new headlight & Tail light chrome bezels, Rally II Wheels were sand blasted, painted and new lug nuts put on . Under carriage and trunk were detailed, Trunk was completely detailed to factory specs including new splatter paint, spare, inflator bottle & hardware. Interior was restored to original including new reupholstered front seats, new headliner, rebuilt clock and rebuilt original Radio (have receipts), The Rear-End is a 3.42 rear-end gears were checked and fresh lube added. Rear-End sounds very nice with no noises or howling etc. Car has A/C which blows "ICE COLD" since it was just retrofitted, evacuated and charged with R134a. New A/C hoses & Dryer (have receipts). Front-end was rebuilt just before I purchased the car and is very tight with no vibrations or shimmies. New calipers and disc brakes were installed, New Weatherstripping kit & rubber bumper kit including doors, trunk, roof rail, hood to cowl seal & hood insulation. New door hinge pins & bushings were installed in both doors, original new decals were installed in all the right locations including jacking instruction decals in trunk & engine compartment decals. New washer bottle, hoses and nozzles. Original exhaust manifolds were bead blasted and painted with Eastwood Hot Coating, new exhaust front to rear and chrome tips put on to factory specs. along with Flow Master Mufflers that sounds very nice & throaty! (have receipts) I have all receipts for the work done on this car and NOS or OEM parts were used whenever possible! I have many extra parts that will come with the sale of car. I have listed all the new items that have been installed etc. below and 40 photos of the car and documents; take a look and you will see this car is very, very nice! Here are the engine codes etc. Block is XE: which is 1973 455 215/250 horsepower with 4-barrel carb., Block Casting: 23N130531, Block date code: D193 which is April 19th 1973, Block Casting: 485428 which is 1973 with 455 engine, Intake code: 494282, Intake date code: D143 which is April 14th 1973, Heads are 4X Heads, Head date codes: D253 which is April 25th 1973, Carb: 7043265.
