Only three small photos and no documentation, which is very important when claims of major work have been made. $12k is fair. Stress fractures in the paint. Recently gone through and purportedly in solid shape. Still, these cars always look a little ragged around the edges, or at least that's the feeling I get. ~~~ The Lotus Elan is a pure sports car, lightweight, open-air, tossable and fun. Not really drop-dead gorgeous, but still cute enough to be driven proudly. RHD really emphasizes British roots, and adds to the novelty. (Chris Lydiksen) OWNER'S COMMENTS 1967 Elan S3 convertible. Or more properly known as a Drop Head Coupe. Right hand drive! Weber head! Recent mechanical and interior restoration. Engine and trans are fresh and tight. Interior is like new with a new dash, perfect crash pad, new door panels, seats redone including stainless seat runners! New carpeting including trunk. New Robbins top. Suspension has been redone with new bushings, new adjustable Spax up front and Koni in the rear. Brakes rebuilt too! Runs great! Older paint with some stress cracks but it shines pretty good. Red/white/gold sprint colors. Mechanically very good. Interior excellent. Paint shines good but has stress cracks.
