About This 1955 Ford Crown Victoria
Posted: 14 May 2003
$16,350 in range but a little low. $18k is fair (for looks alone). No mention of how thorough the restoration really was. Lots of new parts and new paint. Presentation just left too many questions unanswered. ~~~ A real 'oddity' that will spark conversations and finger-pointing wherever you go. A car that will take you back to the golden era of America, and its automobiles.
This is a very nice 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria. This classic looks, runs and drives great. The fender skirts and continental kit make this car a real head turner. The interior includes new carpet, seat covers, door panels, headliner, sill plates and a nice Kenwood stereo, which has been neatly installed under the dash. The original radio is still in the dash but does not operate. Additionally, all of the dash and metal interior parts have been repainted. As you can imagine the interior looks awesome. The body and paint look excellent. When the car was repainted the trunk and doorjambs where painted as well and look great. The trunk was also dressed up with a new mat. Both the front and rear bumpers look like new as do the door handles. The stainless is in very good original condition. The weather stripping is newer and in excellent condition. Under the hood is an excellent running, well detailed, non-smoking V-8 engine with a new 4-barrel carburetor. On the underside you will find dual exhaust, which is in good condition and a shiny new gas tank. This beautiful cruiser is ready to show and go.
