CHRIS'S COMMENTS

Seller overestimating condition of his car. Needs more evidence of good condition to acheive higher price. As it is, $6k was fair for possible money pit. Color changed w/some bondo. Overall poor condition. You can almost hear this time-bomb ticking. Ignition changed to electronic. No numbers or documentation provided.

OWNER'S COMMENTS

JUST IN TIME FOR SPRINGTIME!!!!!!

1960 MGA 1600 This car had been owned by the same local owner since 1998 and has always been garage and never driven in the winter. It's a very solid car which rides and handles great.

EXTERIOR:

Cream/Yellow painted over the orininal white. New top, new tonneau cover. Side windows orginal. Very solid body with little bondo. A few stone chips, with some painted over by previous owner.

WHEELS:

New tires at time of purchase. Wire wheels have been stripped and painted silver (see photos). Jack (not original).

INTERIOR:

Seats are originals w/ the normal seam splitting. New carpeting and insulation underneath. Band-jo steering wheel is original. Turn signal is hand held. Tonneau storage has come loose, but is easy to repair.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:

Engine was pulled, cleaned, painted and the seals and gaskets were replaced. Transmission has not been worked on, and second gear is a bit stiff. Carbs were rebuilt. New radiator, Points have been change to electronic with a conversion kit. The car starts quickly and runs smoothly, even in cold temperatures. New plugs, distributor, points, plug wires, etc. New exhaust system. New spider gears. Most important, there are no visible oil leaks.

BRAKING SYSTEM:

Restored braking system 3 years ago. All wheel cylinders were either replaced or restored. Parking brake has been rebuilt. New seals in the differential and axles.

Listed in NADA Appraisal as "Average"

This vehicle is in good condition overall, and has been well-maintained. Completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. There is one small surface rust spot I have found in the trunk on the right side (see photo). This can easily be sanded and painted.

@MaimaneAM This is not about a politics. This is about remembering their sacrifice to ensure 1960 doesn't happen again
