About This 1947 Cadillac Sedanette

A definite head-turner, but this car deserves a full 'red flag alert.' Over $5,000 fontana rose metallic wth ghost flames paint job. Over $5,000 in new chrome, yet pieces are missing and some trim is rusting. The paint is striking, but blatently unoriginal. Interior is dismal with obvious stains and wear. Engine compartment is depressing. However, car has potential for proper restoration, full or partial. Price was right on, or even a little generous for this car. With some TLC, appreciation potential is fair. Presentation lacking in detail, documentation, history. Plenty of good photos. Seller had (16) rating and high bidder had (1).
THIS RARE 1947 CADILLAC SEDANETTE 2DR FASTBACK is a 'GORGEOUS' ALL ORIGINAL CAR except for paint and chrome! Paint is the 1960 Cadillac color 'FONTANA ROSE' with pearl base and pearl ghost flames! (Paint cost over $5000). All NEW chrome cost over $5000, also. Powered by 'original' flathead V8 2BBL. Runs great. Hydromatic transmission shifts smooth. Has ORIGINAL hubcaps and wheels, ORIGINAL spare & jack! ORIGINAL radio still WORKS! All instruments work except turn signals & horn (could be a fuse). The chrome shop lost two 6' strips on the side..owner can tell you where to get replacements. No rust and never wrecked. Don't forget the sunvisor header that works! Even comes with owner's manual! This car is being offered by Owner #3. The second owner had the car for 31 years! (documented). No disappointments here.
