This is a 1980 Land Rover Series III which has been totally modified to a 1994 Defender model. The modification includes the full body work. Windshield, wiper system, doors, and windows were fabricated to match those of defenders. Hood and front grille are replaced with Defender's, as well as all the lights. Additional driving lights are added on the roof, on the A-pillar, and the grille guard. These lights come handy during night trips in not-very-well illuminated areas. Interior is totally rebuild to exceed stock Defender interior. Windows are powered by Mercedes-Benz's unit. All seats are from Mercedes-Benz, as well as the doom light, shift handle, and speedometer (although the gauges housing and the other gauges are Defender's original). The headliner was completely redone. Sound insulations were added. Engine and suspensions are left stock, as they are decent for the time being. The only addition to the engine and suspension are the water-proof fuse box and the Rancho steering shock absorber. Audio system is not a big concern, so a simple system of Sony head unit, Kenwood power equalizer, and 4 MB-Quart speakers are at work. Electric retractable radio antenna were also added. Many of the parts and accessories were fabricated. Many of them were also bought used. For parts that requires welding such as the grille guard and windshield post, these are locally made.
