The Porsche 928 S was the car many thought would finally replace the 20 year-old Porsche 911. Of course, the original 928 was designed to replace the 911, but the S model was a heavyweight, literally, now with 5 liters, 32 valves and handsome aerodynamic treatment. Whereas the original 928 looked oddly naked and awkward, the S meant business.
