This dynamic duo was created and hand-crafted on American Hot Rod, a TV show on the Discovery Channel covering the work of famed hot rod builder Boyd Coddington. One of a kind custom car and motorcycle. The car was dubbed the \"Ghetto Princess\".

From Seller:

As seen created and built on the Discovery Channels \"American Hot Rod\" by famed hot rod builder Boyd Coddington. Less than 50 miles since built. Incredible 1 of a kind car and bike. The \"Ghetto Princess\" and the matching bike were debuted for the US military troops at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California.

ABOUT THE BUILDS
As the cameras from \"American Hot Rod\" rolled, Boyds vision became a reality. The crew started with a very clean example of a 1959 Impala and proceeded to transform it into the \"Ghetto Princess.\" The roof was removed to make it a California speedster. The seats were repositioned and a hand-formed tonneau cover was fitted. The windshield was lowered, the dash lengthened and the pedals were moved back. The sheet metal is covered in DuPont Hot Hues \"Anti-freeze Green.\" The rear-end is a Currie 9 inch with custom coil-over suspension. The front end is an Art Morrison clip with a tubular A-arm independent front suspension and Flaming River rack and pinion. Power for this unique car comes from a 496CI big-block built by M & R Engines. The engine is fuel injected, but fabricated to look like 2 4-barrel carbs. With 700hp and 610 lb-ft of torque this car has all the power it needs. The transmission is a Dr Evil Turbo 400 with a push button shifter. For the exhaust the Coddington crew chose a Magnaflow exhaust sytem with custom made headers and electric cut-outs. Gabe Lopez, owner of Gabe\'s Custom Interiors, created the custom bucket seats and wrapped the whole package in tan leather. The floor is covered in a tan wool carpet. Additionally the interior received Custom Rod gauges and the other controls were fitted into a custom console. Tilt wheel, power steering and power brakes. The billet Junk Yard Dog wheels are wrapped in Goodyear rubber. Also, has a trailer hitch so that the bike can be hauled with the car.

The motorcycle was built to match the car. Roy and Lee from Boyds shop hand built every panel on the bike. It was the last project Roy worked on. There work was done from an illustration. The bike has a custom frame and custom seat. The kickstand is electric and the bike features all custom controls with no foot controls and no visible cables. The engine is a Patrick Racing custom build. The trim is hand made and the head light and tail light are custom billet. The disc brakes are hydraulic and feature a hidden master cylinder. Only 1 hand control operates the front and rear brakes. The transmission has a push-button shifter and the hydraulic clutch has a hidden master cylinder. The key start is hidden as is the fuel filler. The foot rests fold-up so the body looks smooth when parked. Boyd\'s Wheels finish off this amazing rolling work of art.

MAGAZINES AND TELEVISION
The \"Ghetto Princess\" has been featured in numerous publications including the January Issue of Custom Rodder where it was the cover car. Also, Magnaflow used the car in a television commercial for their exhaust systems. You can view the commecial by logging on to maganflow.com and clicking New & Media, then TV appearances & videos and finally on Boyd Coddington 2006 Magnaflow commercial.

The new book \"American Hot Rod: The Fine Art of the Custom Hot Rod\" by William G. Scheller, was recently released and has a nice feature on the \"Ghetto Princess.\"

The bike has been in Hot Bike and numerous other publications as well.

This bike car combo is extremely unique and is priced accordingly.

Boyd Coddington\'s cars have set numerous world records at auction including the sale of the 1936 Delahaye inspired hot rod \"WHATTHEHAYE\" that sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2005 for $540,000.
